Totally agree with you Frank. I don't like all Wilco music and Tweedy can be a bit lame doing his own gig, but when they are on form they are the best. I think they are at their best in a more casual setting like:

The nicest slow song ever. Cecil might have played it a few times in the early years?...but maybe by a different artist

A garbled version of these lines were running through my brain this morning while out walking.
" But how do you thank someone who has taken you from crayons to perfume ". |

Interesting Frank.
Nice line. Is it real or resembling a real quote. |

Nice quote Frank. The one I like, and didn't really understand for quite a while was: "Child is father to the man". Pretty deep, not just in the obvious way...

From "To Sir With Love"–Right Frank? Its funny RR but since I heard that Nancy Wilson song on the radio recently I can't stop humming it. I can't remember if it was a hit when I was a kid or what. Great song but for some reason it never became a jazz or pop standard.

Great suss Pogue, with Lulu. I played the track and, about an quarter way through the first note, Annette sez that's Lulu, "To Sir, with love" ! Says she'd know Lulu's voice anywhere. A super, maybe slightly underrated singer...
Yeah Pogue, I didn't know the Nancy Wilson song/version well, but it's a super one. Noticed it had like 6,000+ hits versus eg Lulu's song with 10,000,000+ hits. Strange what songs become classics, and what songs don't. Although, is a "classic" born or made? If a song is clearly a classic/song for the ages, but doesn't get the sales, does that make it less of a classic that one that sells millions and millions of records? I'm trying to think of an example here, but can't actually come up with one ... (Other than that Nancy Wilson one ! ) |

I add to that emotion.
