RIP John Motson. I always remember reading an interview with Frank Lampard where he enviously described a certain, eh, attribute of Motson's as being "... like a baby's arm. If I had one like that I'd have it out all the time...".
Cant quite remember what it was he was describing!!! 😁😁

Sad to read this news. John Motson and Barry Davies were the voice of football commentaries for many years. Legendary commentator John Motson has sadly passed away aged 77. Born in Salford, Lancashire, the popular broadcaster was a familiar voice over a 50-year career with the BBC after he was hired as a sports presenter for Radio 2 back in 1968. His work in the field eventually earned him an OBE in 2001 for services to sports broadcasting. His family announced in a statement: "It is with great sadness we announce that John Motson OBE died peacefully in his sleep today |

After the midweek draw at home to Leeds am very happy to win 2-0 in the return at Elland Road. With teams around us dropping points it was a good weekend for Manchester United 😍😍

Good week for Manchester United in the Cups. Bar a miracle we're through to the League Cup Final next month. 3-0 up against Notts Forest in the first leg of the semis. Beat Reading today so through to the 5th round of the FA Cup. |

Brian Unfortunately I can't get the soccer at home here. Could have gone out but we're just home from our trip so didn't have the energy to head out. Agree with your comments on the game. Using my imagination to imagine what was happening on the pitch whilst listening via radio commentary. Reminds me of days of yore listening to the football on a Saturday afternoon on our old wireless. United on a great run alright. But Arsenal are top of the pile and showing the way at the moment Tomorrow's derby with Spurs and next week against us will prove if your title ambitions are genuine. But right now you're in a commanding position and you must be thrilled. Liverpool and Chelsea are way off the pace. Newcastle, Brentford and Fulham are really on form. Gotta Love the Premiership. Enjoy Brian. |
