Didnt see it Pat (on some kind of pay per view), but it was in her home town and she still lost - just about. She seemed to accept the verdict herself, so I guess its legit. Roll on the rematch!!!

Sorry to see Katlie Taylor lost last night.

Didn't see the fight but some commentators on the internet are saying she deserved to win.

Any comments on that?

Whatever she's still an iconic Irish sportswoman in my eyes. An exceptional example of what can be achieved if you're determined enough.
May be going to hell in a bucket but at least I'm enjoying the ride.

Rafael Nadal beats Medvedev in epic Australian Open final for 21st slam title.

Spaniard fights back to win epic battle 2-6, 6-7 (5), 6-4, 6-4, 7-5Nadal one clear of Djokovic and Federer in all-time standings.

This despite being out of action for six months following career threatening foot injury AND recovering from COVID19 in December.

An incredible player, full of guts and determination and a really nice guy.

Congratulations Rafa πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸŽΎπŸŽΎπŸŽΎ

Way to go Katie.

Still the number 1. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘.

Katie Taylor has successfully defended her undisputed lightweight championship, beating American Jennifer Han via unanimous decision at Headingley Stadium.

The fight will not go down as a classic but Taylor was never in trouble and always in control against a wily veteran, winning all ten rounds.

All three judges scored the fight 100-89, with an eighth round knock-down the highlight of the bout for Taylor.

Former IBF featherweight champion Han showed no signs of ring-rust despite being out of action for 19 months but was never able to worry Taylor whose main frustration was that she didn't get the stoppage she was looking for.

Fighting in the birthplace of her father, Taylor felt right at home and received a rapturous welcome from the 20,000 fans in attendance.
