Reading "Redemption Falls" - Joseph O'Connor.
Superb book on life in the Wild West just after the American Civil War and involving the immigrant Irish and their stories. Some very grim accounts of life during that time. |

Rudolf Hoss was a farmer and soldier who became Kommandant of the Auschwitz concerntration camp and oversaw the deaths of over a million men, women and children. Compelling reading.
