Sorry Pat but I can't say for sure. I did a few posters between '69 and '71. Marriage ended my Grove  days and art Career. My younger brother, Tony took over and did a much better job, so I imagine most of the ones that went down in the fire were his. The painted posters were mixed with other printed posters that would have been in the record shops at the time. The three posters in  the main dance floor photo (my guess) are Dylan, done possibly by me, George Harrison at the end of the room, done by Tony...and I think the one beside Dylan is one of Cecil's printed posters of Van the Man (similar to this one pasted below).

If you look at the poster on the wall beside Cecil peeking out. I think it is painted, ripped-off by me from this Melanie poster...or a similar photo stolen from Rolling Stone.

Agreed Sean.πŸ‘πŸ‘

I find it hard to believe that come this July it will be 49 years since I first set foot in the Grove in 1972.

Feels like much shorter than that.
May be going to hell in a bucket but at least I'm enjoying the ride.

Actually, looking at your post above Pat reminds me - it will be 50 years this year (not sure of the month exactly, but August or September I reckon) since my first visit to Belgove. Wow! I think I should get that award instead of Poguey !

No monetary award Pogue.

Just the accolade of being the oldest rooster in the hen house. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Sean.

How the years seem to have flown by.

We do our weekly shopping mostly on a Friday.

So went went to the mall today and it only seems like yesterday that we were there even though it was last Friday.

At 67 I guess if I last till 87 I got 1040 weeks to go 😟😟😟

Jaysus Pat, you're an optimist πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Joking of course, but I would hope to get into my eighties like yourself - but only if I'm in reasonable shape, that I can eat, shower, go to the jacks by myself. If I end up "dribbling and incontinent" as a mate of mine used to say - then I don't really want to go there. On the other hand, life is sweet as they say, whatever state one is in...guess we'll just have to wait and see how it all pans out !!

Hey, less of the optimist opinion πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Of course Marjie wants me to live longer.

She says no matter what state I'm in she'll look after me. She says better to have me in her life no matter my condition than not having me at all.

Like you say Gerry I'd hate to be of no use and beca burden to others.

Marjie doesn't see it that way at all.

It's her nature and a good Filipino woman will never abandon you or will never have another relationship if you pass away regardless of her age.

We have a good friend, Maribel, who became a widow a few years back. She's still a fine looking lady and once when we were chatting with her I jokingly said Marjie could find another if I died and would she herself not think of finding another. She was shocked by the suggestion. Well that was when I was told about a good Filipino woman loves once and only once and would never contemplate another man in her life.

Now what has all this to do with Interesting Pics? πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
