Some are for breeding and some for fighting.

You'll see places with loads of cocks under little shelters. Am talking loads. In full view. These are your fighters.

Not unusual to be driving along and see loads of motorbikes and cars parked at the side of a road in the middle of nowhere. Usually that signifies a cockfight venue with fights going on and mega gambling.

Where we live is interesting.

On one hand you have a touristy area and beaches and fast food and the usual touristy souvenir shops.

On the other hand you have loads of goats and cows grazing by the side of the road. Tied to a tree of course.

People still farm here and some still use traditional buffalo pulling the plough.

So we have tourism and rural living side by side.

That's why I love here.

Where I live in Panglao and only in Panglao everyone puts out a little altar like this every Sunday, weather permitting. All along the roads in Panglao you'll see these beautiful altars. Only here. No where else in the Philippines.

A mobile blessing vehicle comes along at 6pm and blesses every household.

The unique land form known as the Chocolate Hills of Bohol was formed ages ago by the uplift of coral deposits and the action of rain water and erosion.

The reason I asked is because southern Ohio is scattered with these Native American burial mounds.
