Saw this jeepney here in Manila and had to take the above photo. A few little changes to the title and it could read "Cecil DJ".

That O Connolls ground in the background of Frank's pic must be there donkeys years. I went to O'Connells and, I think in 2nd year, which would have been 1968 or so, we were all dragged out to their football grounds to test out our GAA football ability. Now if you were good at the football you'd get the odd class off to practice. Myself and my mate at the time weren't really interested, so he came up with a cunning plan - we would genuinely try our hardest but, instead of playing right-footed, (as we both were), we'd okay left-footed! We duly didn't get picked. I can't really remember where the practice took place, but if it was in the place in Frank's pic then it's going a long time !
Now that I have the above written I've a feeling I told that story already on one of our threads -if so, apologies for the repetition!!! |

I never realized before how much Fogerty's body looks exactly like Pat's. HAH I should have made Cecil smaller but only had five minute at work. It looks like a clown car

RR-Don't have me tell my Artane boys story all over again!
When I played for Ciarans' (before your time) we only played against O'Connells a couple of times and to my memory were badly beaten on both occasions. Even in a relatively small school system I think O'Connells was grouped with O'Tooles and other bowser schools, while we were put in leagues against Artane, Marino and St Joe's. It might have been because the Brothers all lived together on Griffith Avenue? Like Irish diddley music, Gaelic wasn't really cool back then but I always liked playing it, along with hurling, much better than booting the liathrΓ³id around with my soccer loving mates.
