Self titled album "Bluec Ridge Rangers".
John Fogerty's first album after the break up of Creedence. It's his take on some country classics. The album is remarkable not only for its content but the fact that he plays EVERY instrument on the album. |

Nils is a brilliant musician - in his own right, also as a sideman for others, Bruce Springsteen especially.

Was listening to a "best of" by Jack Johnson.
He of "Where do the good people Go" fame. Bought it about 10 years ago.and only ever listened to it once. It's a superb album for a bit of easy listening. It'll be played more often now that I resurrected it. |

I was told a few times at karaoke that nobody can sing Anne Murray songs because she sings in some unusual key _ I wouldn't know because I sing in the key of "Z"...It's a mix between Tom Waits and Tiny Tim

And to go along with the above Marjie is playing a lot of Anne Murray who she likes a lot.
In fairness Anne Murray has a lot of nice songs that I never knew she recorded. Edited by Biker Pat - 23-June-2020 at 12:51 |

Beautiful morning here today.
So spent it relaxing and listening to 2 double CD's. Music To Watch The Girls Go By vol 1 and vol 2. Released in 1999 it contains great music from the old days. Andy Williams, Dean Martin, Doris Day, Nancy Sinatra, Dusty Springfield, Louis Armstrong to name a few. Wonderful stuff brought me right back to the 60's when there were some great songs and singers. |

What did one Pink Floyd fan say to the other Pink Floyd fan when their drugs wore off?
Ans: This music really sucks HAH! Grateful Dead jokes work for Pink Floyd as well

What's the difference between Roger Waters The Wall and Pink Floyd's The Wall.
Waters was in Pink Floyd? Was never a huge fan of PF. Bought and loved Dark Side Of The Moon and The Division Bell and other tracks off their many albums, particularly where there's a Gilmour guitar solo. First time I heard PF was in the Grove when Cecil played Fearless. |

When I came to the States in '76 they only played 2 albums on the radio. The Wall and Rumours... a bit of Billy Joel and Elton John thrown in for good measure...a truly horrible time in music history- IMHO
I added the Lucius link to the above post...just in case I forgot to mention that I got a hug from Holly and Jess...and have a photo to prove it. "...if you could actually photoshop yourself out of the pic you could leave it up here permanently"- HEY! Have you any idea how long it took for me to Photoshop myself into it? .

Lol Poguey, I saw that photo with Holly and Jess ok - you stick it up here every 2 weeks or so! But me and the other lads don't mind, they are nice to look at; if you could actually photoshop yourself out of the pic you could leave it up here permanently
I loved, loved, loved the first couple of PF records - the stuff like Arnold Layne, See Emily Play, Bike, etc. After those albums though, I thought they kinda vanished up their own arses and I lost interest in them! I do though, like the track "The Wall", and I think I've heard other bits from that album that were OK. But no, wouldn't be a big fan. So, sue me, world |
