Cecil could drop a needle on any part of a song he wanted to. His
precision was amazing. He can read grooves and was the first guy to ever
be called groovy.

Cecil question: How many grooves were there on the average 45?

Ans: one

Yep, it's the Grove alright

I actually like the song. It reminds me of the time I visited Johnson City in Tennessee.
May be going to hell in a bucket but at least I'm enjoying the ride.

Up until Cecil became a DJ nobody in Ireland ever sat on the floor. We all sat
on hard chairs against the wall. I remember the first night someone sat on
the floor, It was a girl. Next everyone is doing it. Then it got out of hand
because people started to sit up on the stage near Cecil and sometimes he'd
get angry and need to go to the jax but couldnt in case he'd lose his seat
...so he put a stop to it. That's where the expression "Get off the Stage!"
came from. Then the movie Woodstock was released and what do you
know? Americans were copying us.

Remember when Cecil really liked a song and went beyond what a normal DJ
would do to make a point?

Most people can't remember the night Cecil did this at the
Grove. ....The man is full of talent...

That's brill Rolo,

Cecil certainly get's around. He was in Neil Young's band as well (Ben Keith).

So many Cecil lookalikes but we know the original
