beerchug Noodles-I'm envious, great work, Cecil will probably cry again when He reads it but I'm sure He'll really appreciate and be very flattered by it.

Yep Noodles, I think it should be done for Cecil. Framed etc. If we all put some money into it, you can do it and we sort you the night of the reunion. And I think it would be lovely to put a little plaque on the end to say thanks from all of us, name everyone who is regular on the forum. Shame we don't have everyone in that group photo from the night of the documentary cos it could have gone at the bottom of the frame too.

Yep, he does because at the Grove documentary launch night  he mentioned he'd read my tribute to him.

Great one Noodles - I concur with Star - print it and frame it, with a border of album covers around the edge, good ones now none of CDB!

Sounds like a plan...could we get a collection going in the Nep next Sat. night? Would that be enough time to get it all together for the 27th?

Next weekend we celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Grove.

I'm listening to "Harvest" by Neil Young at the moment.

Neil Young is one of my favourite artists but I probably would never have heard his music had I not gone to The Grove back in '72.

I say it again Cecil, you are a rock 'n roll legend and I look forward to seeing you next Saturday and I hope for many more reunions.

We all love you and hope you rock with us for as many years as you can.

Cecil

Does anyone know the history of pre-Grove Cecil? Like, was he just the little
kid on the block with the most records and decided one day "Hay! I wanna
be a DJ"?

I remember a little kid coming around the doors swopping records and
comic books. I gave him a perfectly good copy of Guy Mitchel's "One of the
Roving Kind" for Charlie Drake's "Splish Splash". I bet it was Cecil.
