A quick follow-up to the above post.

Was at Caesars Windsor from Thur thru Sat.
SARAH EVANS
When picking up our tickets at box office for Joe Cocker (Thurs Nite) we were offered free tickets to Fridays Concert...Sarah Evans. Not my cup of tea but for FREE why not.....

She is a very talented artist. The fans loved here and she was putting on a great show. But after an hour I had had enough (Only cause not my kind of music) Everybody loved her.
My apologies to any SArah Evans fans out there....LOL

To add to this, while picking up our tickets for Sarah Evans they offered us FREE tickets for KISS in July...Jazus, what a place?

I must admit though that I do a lot of gambling at Caesars Windsor so The Free room is usual for me and the free tickets...this trip I even had free food...Hee-Hee

Big line up of some great stars coming there but not interested in all.

The Beach Boys, KC and The Sunshine Band, Frankie Valli to name a few...
Anybody want my free tickets?....LOL

Here ya go Pat,

JOE COCKER
Caesars Windsor, Casino and Resort, Windsor Canada.
I went to this concert reluctantly as I am a BIG joe Cocker fan and was scared of what might have happened to that voice over all these years..... I had FREE tickets and FREE Hotel room so I went

BUT.....

He was Feckin' BRILLIANT...sounds better than he ever has. Very fast moving w no breaks between songs. Don't know how he kept the pace.

Anyway, as I said he was BRILLIANT. The vocals right on key. The band was superb. I listened to his "Greatest hits CD on way home, typical 60's instrumentals but the live band was unbelievable and at times was wondering if I was at a Pink Floyd concert.

I'm sure there has been a lot of rearranging here but Jazus it was FANTASTIC. All songs sounded more rock than I remember but truly magnificent performance.

Good Old Joe still has the spastic movements from the waist up but no twisty legs....LOL

Bottom Line...
Unbelievable FANTASIC CONCERT....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

HIGHLIGHT of the evening....The Beatles "COME TOGETHER"
Started with some great sound effects leading into that psycodelic start..Joe had this completely under control.
With the Sound Affects, Instrumentals, LIghting effects, Vocals...It literally blew me away. The best performance by Joe by far, EVER (In my opinion)

If you get a chance don't miss this tour.

Any gig reviews recently? I've none to comment on as I have'nt been at any except Pat Mc Manus.

Anybody got anything to add?
May be going to hell in a bucket but at least I'm enjoying the ride.

Haven't seen them myself but I heard they were good. (Usually aussie bands do well - see Bjorn Again. Now doing venues like The Point)

Booked tickets for "The Fairies" in November. I know you'll all be waiting with baited breath for this review. Will try to get Rachel to be as honest as possible and leave nothing out for you

Hey ho Grove people,

Just looking for a bit of advice. I'm thinking of splashing out on a couple of tickets for the Australian Pink Floyd on Saturday night down in the Point.

Am I looking at a sound investment here?

Fantastic show by AC/DC  last night.

Opened with Rock n Roll Train from the new album and maintained a blistering pace until they finished 2 hours later with For Those About To Rock. Mixed 3 other songs from Black Ice with all their classics.

It is 26 years since I last saw them and they certainly didn't disappoint. If they are half as good when they play Punchestown it will be worth seeing.
