I think the Eason's name was not connected to the bookshop but came from the farm whose land was stolen to start Belgrove. That's the story I heard anyway.

When it was Easons' we just sat and read.
Cecil introduced us all to Sarte and Guy de Maupassant. The girls were nice looking but they all wore glasses. The only reason we started dancing was because of Last Tango in Paris. |

I remember talking to Cecil about this
but can't really remember what he said. I think it was that the Book Store had their Social Club there. |

Great to see more Mount Prospect "Grovers" or Easons as I used to call it when going there first. My card No. was 798 and I started going in July 1967. |

Welcome to the forum. I'm also of the Mount Prospect generation. I went to the psychedelic shack from 1972 - 1975. Super place it was. Anyway hope you share some memories from your time there. Pat |

May be going to hell in a bucket but at least I'm enjoying the ride.

Enjoy the site and give us a bit more info on yourself. There is a Grover home from aus soon so there will probably be a meet in Harry Burns.

???? What age do you have to be to be old, at this stage anybody who went to Mount Prospect should get a Gold Membership Card. Most definatly if ya can produce your original card. If ya survived Mount Prospect ya can survive anything.
