Frank, can't say I remember that one.

We didn't get a telly till 1965 and then only RTE1.

Remember lots more westerns in the 60's though.
May be going to hell in a bucket but at least I'm enjoying the ride.

Considering it is an 80s show Pat I'm guessing the sound never quite worked out for Blondie.
I was not a big fan of 80s music but a few artists stand out...if only for a song or two.

correction: I guess Natalie was 90's and not 80s?

Interesting track there Pogue.

That backing music is not easy to sing along to.😏

Maybe, as you say, it was a test run for new music or a new sound anyway for Debbie ...

Hmmmmmmmmm Poguey, bit of a night crawler chant there...

I think Debbie was tired ... Or had an oul chaw on the ayahuasca leaves ...

I'll have another listen and return with a final verdict...

Debbie herself of course, immaculately beautiful as always ....

This 80s "Night Music" late night show was the American version "The Old Grey Whistle Test" ...so naturally it did not run long. Lorne Michaels and the other English fella went on to do their own things. Artists, Leonard to Sonny, used it to test out their new material.

More Blondie:

Right on Pogue, a beautiful looking girl, lovely voice. And very loyal to Chris Stein in his illness as well - a good combination of qualities ...

One of only a few good things in music to come out of the 80s was Debbie Harry. She was good looking and could actually sing. It's not easy to harmonize with a frog.

At a funeral this morning when at The Offertory and the bell rang

some young(very young) child piped up with a rendition of Jingle Bells .

It raised a smile at the time .

Ha ha ha ha ha Pogue - magnificent spotting!!!

How does a kid of that age have the confidence to do a comic performance like that though - what age was she? 6 or 7, not even that maybe ?

Anyway Poguey, my Christmas is now complete ...
