So I thought I'd start with a poll to see what type of cameras are out there...so here goes:

I don't need to use a camera everyday cos I got you to do that for me
So I only use a camera for birthdays and functions.

Voted for the once a month option (well, thats between myself and the other half) - Granted, we tend to use it mostly at weddings, functions etc...but having said that we also love art, so we love to take pictures of scenary which we may copy and paint.........must upload some of my little numbers, although being honest - theres no comparison between my faint attempt at being a photographer and HD & BR's etc....... |

I have taken so many pics of Rachel that I'm down to once a month now. However, we bought her a Fisher Price camera for her birthday cos she's always using the one on my phone. Not a bad photographer for 4yrs old!!! She gets everyone in the middle of the photo. Just haven't figured out why she takes pics of the floor, the wall, her dolls etc. Thankfully its a digital camera, so easy to upload and no expensive film. |

Photography for the most part is, like a lot of artistic endevours,a subjective thing. There is no such thing as a "bad" photograph...just what appeals to ones taste or not. So post away..I'd love to see them for one Trixie ![]() |

I got a camera when I was 15 and went to Cyprus. Never got round to getting the photos developed. would the technology still exist to develop them?

Good one HD - I was going to say I use the camera every 2nd day or so, but seeing as out in Howth yesterday I took 93 photos in a couple of hours, I'll go for 'every day'!
L ove the b/w conversion info you posted on interesting pics - just what I was looking for, as the desaturate or greyscale don't look right. CP |

Unless you were using some kind of experimental film then you should have no problem getting it developed. More than likelyitwilleither be 35mm film or 110film (the old cartridge type filmthat went into instamatic cameras (remember those?).
Hey...was out there myself with one of my photography buddies Ciaran. Did you see the seals in the harbour? One of them in particular was really posing for the cameras...sooo cute. If you like I'll post a more detailed explanation of the Channel Mixer conversion method in the camera thread if you like? We'll have to arrange a photography outing someday soon Ciaran.. ![]() |

There are plenty of cheap Canon T series SLR's on Ebay Finno...just bought a whole T50 kit myself for half nothing. Not really worth repairing anymore to be honest ![]() Verh..Just picked up an old Ricoh KR-10M SLR with a 35-70mm Lens for about €40..haven't really used it yet..too busy playing with the Canon for now. There is so much in the way of cheap SLR's and lenses available on ebay at the moment..it's like an Aladdins cave...hehehe!! |
