As there's growing demand for another Grove Reunion, we're currently discussing possible dates. When do you think would be the most popular time for the next reunion? We're not necessarily thinking of a Bank Holiday Sunday, possibly a random Saturday night...

Do you think the rest of the punters would come in November or would a later one be more suitable? As in, I know you hardcore Grovers would be happy to have it every month, but do you think that there's enough of a demand outside the regulars to have it in November?

Unfortunately, Christmas isn't an option.

November or December for me :-) But I guess there is less likelyhood of it clashing with Christmas do's in November...

Thanks Andy,

So November seems most popular, is that because it's the soonest? So if there was one on the Halloween bank holiday Sunday October 24th, would that suit?

Yep, would love a Halloween reunion.

Was telling Cecil, the feeling I got at the last meet up in Harry's was that Halloween seemed to be a favourite time.

November sounds good or early December......

Idea....could we advertise on Radio Nova to entice the 'non-regulars'?

Thanks Andy!

I be happy with a reunion whenever you can fit one in Andy  ...i.e once a week not a month...

The Good thing about Halloween is that punters really enjoy the Halloween one because of the Nostgalia of Halloween in the Grove and fun to dress up.. If you can squeeze Halloween in I think thats you're best option....

Andy - fair play yet again. We all live for the reunions. But I would definitely  agree a bit of a time lapse between them makes them feel "extra special" - whats rare is wonderful and even more appreciated. I've voted for November and ideally a Saturday slap bang in the middle of November. Bloody hell it's the bleakest moth of the year, there's sod all to look forward to. People go away on Bank Holidays- I've seen the posts over the years with grovesters sending their regrets cos their away -  so we might even capture a bigger crowd. What better way to get us through November then a Grove Reunion. Plenty of time to save up for the beers....

Of course it's up to Andy and Cecil.

They are the folks who put this all together, particularly Andy for all he does and coming home to do it.

And I know he is not offended by people's opinions.

So speak out and give your preferences

I suspect that was a typo, Pat? as Sept 24th is a Friday.
I presumed he meant Oct 24th, a Sunday.

Agree with The Petester .

Sat Oct 30th could be the best option as people definitely do head away on BH Weekends, especially people who look after Juvenile Football teams who have matches every other weekend.

By the way, talking to Cecil, he has gone back into his vast musical memory bank and he has come up with the first three records that he ever bought.

I don't know what these records are as Cecil will play these at the next reunion as a major surprise.

He is also planning some serious records suggested as a theme by (Evangeline) called  the "Lost Grove Songs", some of which he has mentioned to me and will be well worth hearing again, BELIEVE me.

Cecil tells me that these tracks were all favourites at the Grove over the years and were never played at a reunion before.

Unfortunately Saturdays in most venues are booked out by regular club nights 52 weeks of the year - so bank holidays are looking like are only option...
