Sorry for the slight complication, but if you have any comments about the stories posted under the competition thread, can you maybe copy and paste the relevant story to this topic and then comment away to your heart's content - otherwise weeding the stories from the comments might turn out to be a bit of a "pain in the hole"!

Thanks again.

I thought this was an interesting line from Bluebell's story--
"...Why ? Because we loved the music, clothes, smell of Cecil"

---I don't know about that fella

Thanks BB! I swear as I wrote I could not stop thinking of so many things we did.  Like making swings around the pole or swings from the trees.  Walking in the river in St. Annes oh yuck but we did it.  Climbing the trees and of course playing all the games like red rover and such... oh gosh I could have wrote for ever.  Such a dreamy time in Dublin so much fun to be had.

Best so far is Teresa's story about hiding under the bed.

My vote would go to,,, Growing up in Dublin ,by Teresa,i think your last lines says it all .

I would not change a thing about growing up in Dublin.  The pure freedom we had and the choices of places to go was great.

and so true about the sun,,

Next to Teresa is Pogue,s trip

Thanks lads.

I must say I like everything I am reading.  Taylor captured the grove nights perfectly.  Gary I nearly wet myself reading your story not to mention others out there.  All good I have to say.

ah Jayz Ann ! that's great stuff.. so far - think I'll have to take the morning off to read it though !
will try to write a few lines but hard to beat your descriptive as ever posts!

great idea Andy, and love all the posts and looking forward to more; all these stories could make their way into the sequel to 32A

[edit] would that be 32B then ?

Ann Whelan is cheating. She forgot to divide her story into chapters and
she should lose some points for not mentioning Cecil.

That WAS only the introduction to chapter 1!!! So I have not cheated yet!

I think there's another few "movies" in all of these stories.

Strange reading them..I can relate to the time, the buzz and feelings I had forgotten....ahhhhhh!

So funny reading all the posts especially yours Ann! You always write with such vivid memories and they are a delight to read.

I swear after reading them all I was almost tempted to write another one taking in another aspect of life.  There are so many lines to the story of life.

I agree T

It's funny the more you read, the more stories of your own come flooding back.

Yep we all have many threads to our lives.

I really think you would have got a better laugh Andy if you asked us to write about our life after growing up in Dublin!...... like when we had kids and went around the bend.

I have a confession to make. A few bits of my stories are not true. I made a
few parts up because I hate losing and want to win a ticket badly. I was
raised very poor and I never won a raffle or anything in my life and Im from
a huge family and all of my brothers and sisters have cancer. I intend
sending the ticket to Africa to feed the hungry.
