Billy Duffy

Absolutely amazing gig. Opening with Spiritwalker then belting through all the classics. Sweet Soul Sister, Edie (Ciao Baby), Horse Nation, Rain, She Sells Sanctuary, Wild Flower, Lil' Devil, Electric Ocean, Sun King, Fire Woman and closing the set with Love Removal Machine. Band were in top form too. SAVAGE!

It was a good gig, if a little short. It was great to see the old songs like spirit walker and horse nation still being played.

Asbury looked a bit freaked when that guy got up, must have been rough in the pit!

I heard from a guy in work who ent that it was a good gig but found Ian Astbury wasn't really into it at all, very little comminication with the crowd he said he was more interactive the last time they played, but he said the gigs and the songs were great

I enjoyed the gig, considering it was over by 10.30, was the shortest i've ever been to, music was great, love concerts, I hadnt really got any preconcieved expectations for the band so wasnt dissappointed!

Yeah I got them on the night. Just before the gig.

Well done, Flumphert. Love Duffy's plec with his name on it.

I tried taking some pics too but the security thought my camera was a video camera and threatened to throw me out if I didn't put it away, which was a bit scary! Great gig, but a short one.

TP...sorry we didn't have time to talk. Brian was dragging us to a mate's blues gig up the road and was in a mad hurry. Hope to catch up with you at the Button Factory instead. :)

Time to dust the cobwebs from this thread...

TP (for my bunghole!) - My apologies for my bare-responses after the gig. I was fairly out of it with alcohol that night, trying to catch up with Mr Jen on the drink is a lethal game to play and only to be attempted if you're bound for the loony bin. However i played it and lost. Also as Jen had said, we were being dragged to Smyths. For a minute i actually thought you were gonna tag along though. I nearly didn't go to JJ's as i wasn't in the best of shape and was hungry and i also knew i was in work the next night. I ended up sucking it up and eating later. I paid the price for it a couple of hours later, draw your own conclusions ;)

As a consolation, i tried to look out for you the following night in the Sugar Club during the Fish gig (only time i could get away sitting at the front with a cocktail in my hand!), but i couldn't find ya anywhere.

Hell of a gig though... both of them :D
me.
