Said it before but I'll say it again...the site is deadly as if you can't tell from how often I'm on.
Is it possible to have a "Previous Page" & "Next Page" option at the top of a topic as well as at the bottom. (I keep clicking on Prev Topic button expecting it to go to prev page...agghhh).
Also when uploading avatars etc can you add a browse option to our upload areas so we don;t have to remember the exact filename of images we have uploaded (My memory is crap).
Thanks!

I've plenty more of those but I'm waiting til Rolo thinks I've forgotten all about it.
Just to prove I have no life, I woke up during a night last week and wrote down lots of new ones. I hope it will be worth the wait Rolo. I know you'll know the tunes they go with

Yes, its difficult scrolling all the way up to the top of the page to reach "active topics" especially while holding a glass of wine in one hand and a packet of crisps in the other!!!!!!!!!

Not changed yet. The avatars are by default 64*64pixels. The only way to accommodate different sizes is to remove the width and height attributes to them. I'll do that now and see how we get on - any that are too large (>100 wide or >100 high) will get deleted I guess!

Just a bit of constructive criticism, I understand the rationale of increasing the post number to qualify for the Private Room, but remember there may be a lot of people (like me) who really love this site and visit most days but maybe are more comfortable staying in the background a bit. "Lurker" - yes I suppose you could say that.
All due respect to the Moderators & everyone involved in the running of the site as it is a wonderful living breathing memento to a legendary institution, but don't make it elitist - as that's something the Grove NEVER was.
The odd gob$hite who comes on stirring it up will get bored and move on anyway ... (Right I'll put me soapbox away now) ...

Do you know that from the number of posts list that from page 10 to 26 there are users who have never posted.
And there's about 26 users per page.
That means approx 416 members have never posted and of course like Fester suggests a lot of people just "lurk" .
And we have currently 642 members.
But it should not matter if people post or not, just enjoy the site

Fester, I hear ya... and you've been lurking long enough to know us and that none of us want the site elitist, but it's also a pain when someone tries to mess it up. It's nice to have somewhere where the situation can be discussed and ideas suggested about what to do, safe in the knowledge that the Private room is just that - Private. Mel,
I believe everyday is a beautiful one (regardles of the weather). When we look around or listen to all the tragedy within the world it makes us realize we are Sooooooooooooooooo fortunate.
As for the long term forecast - it is very good for the summer. Sure if they are wrong all we have to do is put on an extra kacket and SMILE

What a lovely quote Ver. I was pottering around in the back earlier and when it got colder, instead of packing it in, put on a jumper and went out again and got more done!

Thank you Joey - can honestly say I Love Life (not bad for an ol wan) lol. Great believer on looking on the positives, the negatives are a total waste of time. Then look at some of the people you meet on here, the talent, the goodness - a great way to end the day and a super frame of mind to look forward to yet another good one p.g.

Thank God I'm not the only one who's doing that. I managed that about three days running a while back.
Probably messed up with trying to work and post - best not even bother with the working.....

That dog has been very very quiet. Think my thoughts aloud of torturing him and his owners worked!!!!!
They had the music blaring the other night for about 20 seconds until the heavens opened and the thunder started. I could hear him sh*tting himself from here.
Still loving my house. Its absolutely fantastic (even with all the unopened boxes still).
I can say it was all worth it in the end. I sit here in the evenings and count my blessings we can afford it (beans on toast helps)
Love it, love it, love it. Never, ever, ever going to move.
