I remember buying my drink from either Kellys off Licence malahide road The Goblet, Jolly Beggerman on Collins Ave and The Beachcomber. It started off with a half nagging of Vodka with half a can of coke then I went to Half Bottle of Vodka. Then we go drinking down the back lanes of the houses in Killester and off Vernon avenue. But later on I started to bring my half bottle of Vodka into the Grove with 2 small baby bottles of Tia Maria and making Black Russian down the back in the alcove which after wards handing my empties to one of the bouncers to dispose off.

What about Den til Ten... that's where we got our stash. Never had to rely on the old liquor cabinet as we had the most undisputably adult looking girl in the world, and she was mature as hell.... she was as tall then as she is now (6'1') and her only fault was the fact that she didn't know Kaliber was alcohol free! D'oh!!!!!!!

That's a great story wowo.

Remember being in a bar in Scotland with a few lads years ago and we're all drinking Stella or McEwans except for one bloke, who's on Furstenburg ( remember that ).Apparently it's still available in Harry's Bar in Edinburgh. We're all getting rightly jarred and your man's still stone cold sober.

When we get up to leave everyone's rats 'cept Kev,turns out the Furstenburg was non alcoholic and nobody had bothered to tell him.

Ok I have to put this here as it just reminds me of a story over here in the States... not about alcohol but one of the guys I work with was on the slim fast diet right.  He had a big pitcher full of the stuff and everday he would go back and have his slimfast.  Time passed and he just could not understand why the weight was not falling off him.....LOL.... it was because we were putting pancake mix in it... he was gaining weight...LOL  terrible I know only for he really was not overweight....

We pretty much got our drink from Kellys too - Luckily the guy I was going out with at the time was a few years older so he could buy our drink...
Do you remember the Supercans of Coke/Fanta? I'd pour out half & top the other half up with Vodka. The first few sups were a killer but after that who cared! Swiftly followed of course by a can of Ritz just in case I wasn't legless enough....

God, I was going to say how did I never get caught but I so did! I remember one night falling in the door & landing face down in the hall with my Dad looking down on me - how I wasn't kicked up & down the road I'll never know...

The grounds of St. Davids was our chosen venue for pre-grove drinkies - before they went & built houses there of course...

Nah, wasn't me... My Daddy always thought me
never to say no when a guy asked me to dance -
he thought it was terrible bad manners...
especially considering the poor lad had probably
spent an hour plucking up the courage...

If only he knew that saying yes to dancing with
a bloke at the Grove meant that you had to snog
the face off them for the whole of 'Stairway to
heaven' - I'm sure he'd have had a different
attitude then!!

Freebird is one of my all time favourite songs!
Although - if I'd had some awful greasy teenager
sticking his tongue down my neck for a full 9:08mins
I'm sure I wouldn't like it so much...

Not at all saying you were a greasy teenager though..
