Hi all, Since it's the silly season I thought I would start a new Thread. One of my favorite was a scene from Apocalypse Now(1979)

Class Thread young Gerard ! Several favourites but the Russian Roulette scene in The Deerhunter in the Prison Camp is one of my favourites. From De Niro encouraging a petrified John Savage to pull the trigger to his insisting that the Vietnamese commander put extra bullets in the gun before he goes in against Christopher Walken.......... Love it. |

Every scene from the Life of Brian, but particularly "Romanus eunt domus?" bit and the writing it out hundreds of times - I'm just laughing aloud all on my own in the kitchen thinking as I type. Funny funny funny Or the stuttering and non pronunciation of r's. I watched that film years ago with three pals - one who had a stutter and dodgy r's, the other who had an awful lisp. Didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Not a huge movie/fillum fan, but that is pure genius - "How shall we be individuals", "Are there any women here?", "The People's front of Judea? Splitters", "what, other than.....have the Romas ever done for us" and on and on and on ------------- I'm searching for that cash I should have saved for the crash |

There are so many....but I think this one is my fav.....one for the girlies.....Not actually a film but hey The scene in BBC's Pride and Prejudice where Darcy (Colin Firth) bumps into Elizabeth (Jennifer Ehle) when he's dripping wet after his swim in the lake. This scene is priceless, her mortification abotu being caught on his land and his at being caught soaking wet. Sigh...must dig out DVD and watch it again. ------------- Smoke me a kipper I'll be back for Breakfast! |
