saddened to hear that Bruxelles are doing away with the rock bar.It is the end of an era,as all the other rock bars from my teens are no more... a strange decision by the owners,as the rock bar had a steady clientele, and was an iconic venue in Dublin.

I saw that on FB Sean.
Whatever is going on at the tennis club am sure does not involve Andy Colbert. As you say he would have advised the official Grove community. The poster is very authentic and maybe there is a event happening there. |

we have seen on facebook, that there is to be a Grove 'reunion' in Oulton road tennis club, and rumours are that Andy Colbert will be dj'ing at it.I find this quite bizzare,if true ? I'm not trying to speak out of turn, but I would have thought if Andy was going to be involved,he would have told us about it ? I'm quite confused by the whole thing,or maybe it's the part of me that would love one more proper reunion,as a tribute to Cecil...I feel like there's unfinished business...

TWELVE IRISH COMMANDMENTS FOR SENIORS 1-Talk to yourself. There are times you need expert advice. 2-"In Style" are the clothes that still fit. 3 - You don't need anger management. You need people to stop pissing you off. 4- Your people skills are just fine. It's your tolerance for idiots that needs work. 5- The biggest lie you tell yourself is, "I don't need to write that down. l'll remember it." 6-"On time" is when you get there. 7- Even duct tape can't fix stupid, but it sure does muffle the sound. 8 - It would be wonderful if we could put ourselves in the dryer for ten minutes, then come out wrinkle-free and three sizes smaller? 9 - Lately, you've noticed people your age are so much older than you. #10 - Growing old should have taken longer. 11 - Aging has slowed you down, but it hasn't shut you up. 12 - You still haven't learned to act your age and hope you never will. And one more: "One for the road" means peeing before you leave the house!! 🤗🤗🤗☘️☘️☘️😂😂😂

Yes, RIP Bernie Marsden. My brother in the UK saw him a few times, with Mickey Moody and others - after the Whitesnake years. Kinda pub-rock gigs. He said they were superb. 😢😢

RIP Bernie Marsden.
From March 2009. I was at this great night of music. Two of the biggest names in rock are on their way to Swords next week for a unique, one-off gig. Pat McManus and his band are set to take to the stage in the Slaughtered Lamb this Sunday, March 15th. And the former Mama's Boys star will be joined by none other than Bernie Marsden from rock legends, Whitesnake.

indeed Pat,I blame the government to an extent, with their taxes, which put such pressure on people, and a strained health service, that cannot cope with the volume of patients, and again, little done by government to improve things...

Indeed Sean.
The importance of mental health to a person cannot be overstated enough. Deaths due to mental health problems are all too common in Ireland and it's an issue that doesn't get enough attention.
