Yeah, I'll confirm that too. It was Smells Like Teen Spirit.
Anyway, just to keep y'all informed on what's happening with the
documentary - today we shot Cecil's first visit back to St. Paul's College
since that last night of the Grove in 1997. It was a magical experience.
Emotional! He was stunned that the gym and stage had pretty much
remained untouched. The cables and shelves that he'd put in for his
speakers were still there! All the memories came flooding back.
He also brought his two boxes of 7" vinyl with him and I had the rare
privilege of going through the collection... and let me tell you I haven't
touched on half the songs at the Reunions and tributes! So expect a wider
range of music at the future Grove related events. He even played Roxette
and Paul Young! Roll on the tribute December 3rd...

Fantastic and all as I'm sure it was Crusty, don't dare play Paul Young or Roxette on 27th or you might experience a near riot of Forty Something Rockers, not a pretty sight I may add.

xgrovehead,

I'd even consider one in Paul's ( and I don't say this lightly ) without beer.

Wouldn't that be something.

If anyone really feels the need to see the inside of St Pauls, they are holding an ARts and Crafts Fair next weekend and who knows it might be in the hallowed hall.  And if not at least you can get a start on your Christmas shopping.

Yeah,

Picture the scene, hundreds of aging rockers, still in their leather jackets with the denim on the back ,covered in Sabbath,Purple and AC/DC logos, wandering around the hall, mouths open, hands shaking from withdrawl symptoms, clutching the watercolour of the Wooden Bridge they've just bought for their Mammies.

What time will I see y'all there so ?

Rolo.

And a bag of LPs under their arm, hoping that this time, they'll be allowed play them!

Yeah defo,

I used bring a Magazine LP " The Correct Use of Soap " every week for about seven months before Cecil finally relented and played it.

Talk about a damp squib.

Nearly lynched by the AC/DC , Motorhead fraternity.

Question for everyone.

Was it only boys who brought LPs down for Cecil to play?  I don't think I ever saw a female of the species doing this in my day anyway?

I wonder why this is........................................it isn't that we didn't like our music.   Is it just that teenage girls are harder to distract from the real point of teenage discos ?!!

No, I reckon it's because your brothers wouldn't lend you any of their LPs.

Sorry,couldn't resist.
