It is a bit ironic that The Grove has figured in my life

exactly twice that amount of time,44 years.

Watched the documentary for the second time, even allowed the wife
take a peek.

John Quinn (The Stick) mentioned by Cecil, was a good friend of hers (too
good for my liking -heheh) and "The Tribe" as they called their little
group of girls. The Stick was a funny guy and the most outgoing nut in
the place. Hello John if you are still out there!

After the documentary I listened to the beginning of one of the Podcasts
(about 6 mins in) where Cecil insisted there was never an Abba poster in
the Grove. There was along with a Leonard Cohen (images attached) but
maybe they were not official Grove Posters as they were screen printed
directly for CBS. Artist was Tony Carroll...master Printer was his big
brother, Yours Truly. They were plastered all over Dublin and I am almost
sure, Tony being resident artist of the time, that copies ended up on the
Grove walls. If nobody remembers either of these posters maybe I was the
one on "The Ghangah"

Gotcha Mel,

I would have thought that Cecil played the "oldies" as well.

Thanks for that

Hiya Pat/Pogue,

Dont want to start a "New Grove vs Old Grove" debate but pretty much all of the bands/artists you mention, Pat, were played when I was there from 79/80 to the mid 80s.  Anyway, New Grove or Old Grove, we're all Grovers at the end of the day.....
