Thanks for the replies. I don't know if I can post music files. Don't want
the fine people running the site getting into trouble !

If I'm wrong I'm open to suggestions .........

p.s. wav files play in windows media player.

Ger,

You can post what you like here. It's The Grove

And being the Grove we are all free spirits here and very open minded.

There is no hierachy here, all just former Grovers.

A great and open forum with a super bunch of people.

So keep rocking in the free world

Pat

Simple

You look at a thread or topic you like or may be interested in and just post whatever comment you like.

Also you can add topics and feel free to do so.

Believe me, this is a really friendly site and I have made friends with so many people who I never knew but are so friendly and I meet at some of the re-unions.

So blast ahead my friend

Pat

Well, Ger welcome aboard.
Was hoping at some point someone else would remember some great nights in the Crofton Hotel, I also went to gigs in The Magnet (Pearse Street?).

Have more photos so will try to get time to scan them and will post them.

Hi Ger & Welcome
Thanks for Stryder's great music & gigs around our Grove going years
If you can't post a .wav over the web, sounds like a great reason to meet up in a hostelry somewhere & have a listen there...?
Was it yourself that wore the Stryder embroidered denim jacket? and did the name originate from Tolkein?

Great memories of the Stryder gigs in the Crofton!

Finno.....thanks for those pics. I MUST have been there one of those nights. I can remember Alan Quigley in those blue lycra trousers!

Great to see you on here, Ger.....enjoy the 'Grove Experience' again.

Thanks Pat. Sorry for any confusion, I meant that i dont know if is is possible to post music files.

Already i am amased at the people and things being remembered considering the number of years in between. My memory of the old days can be very hazy ... i blame the dodgy curries....

Hi GG, you are too kind.

Indeed Mr Quigleys trousers were the topic of many conversations 8).

Great site - good times and people should never be forgotten.

Glad you enjoyed the gigs, and (very) belatedly thanks for your support.

Yes i did have the embroidered jacket, i am thinking of organising an expedition into the attic to see if there is any sign of it..... its soo dark ...

Yep the name was taken from Lord of the Rings but we changed the name in case of a massive international copyright issue, or we could'nt spell... cant remember which one ....
