Another expression Annette's mam used regularly was, eg,
"It didn't take a comer (pronounced comb-er) - or possibly a cormer - out of him" - meaning it didn't bother him in the least ... Have googled it without success. Must be an old Dub one, I never heard it before I was married. Maybe Frank or Poguey have a clue ... ? |
