She seems like a very shy girl all right. Australia must have quietened her down a bit.

"Are
ya going to the Grove on Saturday night" do you remember those words,
well now you can say "Are you listening to the Grove Friday Night" The Grove show starts on Friday night August 3rd on NearFM. It will be presented by Peter Gaynor and Lynne Kavanagh every Friday between 10-11:30pm for 5 weeks initially. Over the 5 weeks we will be hosting a show based on The Grove. Each week we will have an ex Grove members coming into the studios for an chat in an comfortable environment. Every week we encourage our guest to pick a number of their favourite Grove songs and we will play them during the show. After the 5 weeks we are hoping that the show will get extended. If you are interested in taking part in the show as a guest or would just like to come into the studio email us at Grove@near.ie To listen to the show : In Dublin on the radio Nearfm 90.3fm Live streaming http://nearfm.ie/ Listen again http://nearfm.ie/ Both Lynne and myself are volunteers with Nearfm and this is our first time presenting a show. We hope you will all tune in and listen and enjoy it... |

The first run should be fine but how long can we keep it going, the hardest thing to keep it interesting. At the moment we be chatting to people from The Grove and that could last a while but after that what more can we do with it ? So any suggestion on different ideas for a future format would be great...
Facebook is going to play a lot in it too and we will try and keep it going in here too. Another idea I have for it is getting people to send in request via here or email or FB and maybe a little note on why they want to hear a particular song.. Ah we work it out as we go along |
