This programme used to scare the sh*t out of me as a kid .

But now I find it comical .

Brill Frank.

I remember watching "The Twlight Zone" in a friends house back in the 60's.

We had no telly and I had to walk around to their house and I was pretty scared walking home in the dark after that programme.

I also remember that folks would leave their key in the front door and ask a next door neighbour to keep an eye on their gaff. And we as children were allowed into one another's house to have a pee etc....................

...but you were never let in when the Da was home. He needed his peace and quiet after a hard day at work (or the pub)

Remember when there was a 14 month waiting list to get a phone?

Remember when there were distinct seasons for everything: marbles, conkers, yoyos, kissing girls and priests.

Although not a story from my childhood it's from not long afterwards .

When going to The Grove first I got off with a girl who was visiting Dublin from Tipp.

I walked her back to the house where she was staying and was invited in .

I was in the Kitchen having a cup of tea when the man of The House came down the stairs and into Kitchen .

Who did it turn out to be only my Commerce Teacher at the time .

Needless to say I ran .

What aftershave did you first use?

I remember my Da had "Old Spice" and I used to use it at first even before I started shaving just to impress the girls on the road. .

Then along came "Brut".
