Thanks for all your opinions, as always, they're valued highly!
Unfortunately, we couldn't get the venue for Oct. 30th (as seemed to be the most popular date). So you're gonna have to make do with Bank Holiday Sunday night, October 24th. So cancel all other plans and start spreading the word!

It will be held at the usual spot on Store St. - The Good Bits, 9pm. See you all there. And sure we'll make it a fancy dress event - why not!?!

I'm not even supposed to be here today!

Just decided on my costume for the Halloween reunion. It's
going to take some DIY and needlework but if all goes to
plan should look awesome. Just twigged though...the reunion
is on the Sunday night. I volunteered to work the Bank
Holiday because I need the following weekend off for a gig
and a wedding. Guess I'd better go easy on the
.

I know I always ask this but I presume the "fancy dress" part of the reunion is optional rather than mandatory?  I have to attend a separate event during Sunday Morning/Afternoon before heading across town to the reunion in the evening and there ain't no way I'm wandering town in fancy dress.

Mel,

Myself and a friend once had to collect four outfits for use with a string quartet gig. they were the type of getup Mozart would have worn - silk waistcoat, peddle pusher type trousers, wigs and the works.

Not alone did we wear them to a party the night before, but we walked up from Sandymount to Donnybrook dressed like that - bus drivers were beeping horns goodo at us.

The fours outfits were 2 male, 2 female. We wore the dresses to the party and wore our own gear for the gig - handing the smellies to the two poor ladies.

Gallant to the end me. Think I have a picture of myself the following day, but don't think any survive of us at the party. From memoryu, I singed one of the wigs trying to light a smoke off a gas cooker.....

Ah, being young was great....

So Me, walk across town in fancy dress - don't let others put you off

That must have been awesome..........any chance you'd do the same down on Mount Prospect Avenue....root out the residents, rebuild the psychaedelic shack that used to be the original Grove and blem some serious music from the time.

Back home sitting by the fire. Great night last night. Thanks to Kay's husband for kindly giving me a lift in and Ronan for escorting the mad women home!

Great atmosphere and just good fun dancing and chatting. My niece (home from Australia) loved it. Roll on the next one!

...The prices they were charging, I dont think there was much danger of having a sore head!

Ah no...it was a great night, regardless of that. Loved all the 70's stuff. Well done Cecil and Andy. Very enjoyable.

Looking forward to the Christmas 'do' now

Agree Mary-prices seem to go up each time in there-but wouldn't you think knowing there was going to be a busy night they'd have stocked up on a few kegs? They were down to just Heineken and that Czech beer only. The last time I got a drink they said there was no lager left on draught! (don't know what that says about us...)

But thats the only moan-the night was another fun packed get together with lots of smiles and laughing. Very well done to the dress uppers-good effort.

Here follows a few pics...
