Grovers...thanks to all Crusty and the mods did in a very short space of time,we still have a Hallowe'en Re-union to enjoy.

I don't know what Crusty went through,or what his bathroom must have smelled like while he was trying to re-organise a whole re-union night in such a short space of time.

He came through,as you know...and we have a re-union to go to. OK,a wee bit of comprimising to do with the 12:00am Curfew, but,we have a re-union.

At the 40th,Cecil (deservedly so) got loads of thanks and attention for what he has given to the Grove, but I think you'll all join me in also giving thanks where it's deserved here-thanks to Crusty and his efforts our dream is being kept alive...

Thanks Andy...ta tu an fearr...

My sincere thanks to all

Agreed lads, was a disaster the way Andy was left waiting and waiting for the guts of a week with no information whatsoever coming from Craobh ( despite numerous phone calls, may I add ).

To manage to reorganise the Reunion in such a short space of time was nothing short of miraculous.

Who knows, maybe it's all for the best as an interim solution. The venue is quite high-tech so you should all enjoy Cecil's sounds. Well done Andy! And Happy Halloween to you all!

I'd like to echo all of the above.  Fair play to you Andy.  You averted a lot of pissed off/dissapointed people.

Andy that must have been one of your worst nightmares come true - no venue at the 11th hour

I am sure with all the crowd from here going it will be a great success - three cheers

Just saw this post now. Thanks to Floyd and you all for the kind, kind words of encouragement and acknowledgment, they're really appreciated. Love Floyd's comment about the smell in my bathroom - Classic! (I'm beginning to think that Martin and myself have more in common than just our taste in music) Unfortunately, I didn't get time to visit the bathroom... but I'm so glad to have been able to avert a minor disaster and we even got to rock the house well into extra time and even penalties! A big thanks to my support on the inside (of The Button Factory) Dave Allen, who made it happen from their side. And of course my rock and wife, Tina. She's the spine of the operation, she keeps me together when the sh1t h1ts the fan! And here's to everyone who was there both physically and in spirit, when I see the hardcore familiars on the dancefloor enjoying themselves with air-guitars in hand, that's when all the stressing and effort is so worth it! And the good news is that Cecil loved the new place and he said he'd play all night next time, no bother. I think the other club hanging over our heads was a little unsettling for him, me too. But he called me earlier and the first thing he said was, I think we've found our venue! Straight from the horse's mouth.

I'm not even supposed to be here today!

That's great news Andy, really is. Hope you got Cecil home OK  and sorry we'd to head off before you got back.

Said on the other thread that we all really enjoyed the night and the occasion and meant every word. So a huge thank you from meself and herself.

Having said that, never been called a " Hardcore Familiar " before.

Don't know whether to be delighted or insulted .

Andy and Cecil and Rolo ( in a small way ).

Sunday , given to short notice and the hassle you all went thru over the last few days, was a resounding success.

As already said you would have to be proud to be a part of such a great and active club.

The young ones coming in couldbn't believe their eyes.

To be asked back by the management says it all.

Well done to everyone

Crusty by the sounds of it the new venue was brilliant!! And lets face it, we are all grown ups now so a bit of "posh" should be good :). I don't feel I have a right to vote or comment on reunions cos I will proabably only ever get to one - this Christmas one - but wanted to tell you I am REALLY looking forward to the new venue and some friends of mine from my Grove days are now keen to go BECAUSE its not at the Shieling! interesting eh?
