 “I'll be out the door”.

“I’d be gone tomorrow,”... “Because the Grove site is a dump.”

... in France, they work a 35-hour week, retire at 62 and would cause absolute mayhem if subjected to what we are on this forum. This forum is a “dump” and a “kip”

Welcome to the forum. I'm also of the Mount Prospect generation.

I went to the psychedelic shack from 1972 - 1975.

Super place it was.

Anyway hope you share some memories from your time there.

Pat

Great to see more Mount Prospect "Grovers"

or Easons as I used to call it when going there first.

My card No. was 798 and I started going in July 1967.

I remember talking to Cecil about this

but can't really remember what he said.

I think it was that the Book Store had

their Social Club there.

When it was Easons' we just sat and read.
Cecil introduced us all to Sarte and Guy de Maupassant.
The girls were nice looking but they all wore glasses.

The only reason we started dancing was because of Last Tango in Paris.

I think the Eason's name was not connected to the bookshop but came from the farm whose land was stolen to start Belgrove. That's the story I heard anyway.
