I thought this might be an interesting thread if any
fellow Grovers wanted to share what presents they got,
and if they were happy with the present(s) ?..I'll start

my sister got me a new turntable.I was surprised as mine went to vinyl heaven years ago,and I never got around to replacing it.I had great fun digging out my 7" singles, which were stored in my parents, and have'nt seen the light of day in 8 years or so,maybe longer,
judging on how white with dust the sleeves were, and the buzz I got listening to so many old classics really made my Christmas...

hope all ye other Grovers are having a great Xmas    hope to see ye all on Sunday
upon us all,a little rain must fall

I have to say you do look familiar. I never moved far away from the stage

I am joining the modern word - I got my first ipod for xmas. Amazing concept!

Have spent the last 2 days loading cds onto my laptop (still only about 20% of the way through my cd collection never mind the vinyl) before I create playlist to download.

I am finding stuff in my collection I haven't listened to since I first bought it, and stuff I forgot I had - a great exercise.

Swear to God, it's the small things that count most.

Most of yiz know that my older fella is 15 ....... it's a nightmare trying to find something to surprise him with at Christmas.

Managed to pick up a couple of tickets to Premier League Darts in Belfast in February for him...........like meself he's a Phil Taylor nut .

Should have seen his reaction...........best present you could wish for.

ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY .

Very nice Grainne. You'll never get lost again!

My dad got a nice gift from Mam. A turntable for converting vinyl to mp3. I'll be heading over there with my vinyl collection in the New Year!

I got a foot spa and a facial, mmmm lovely ! A book about ghosts and the
rocky horror cd. brilliant! My little 1 got far too much, have no room to store
everything! Maybe it's just me but I think they get far too much. I gave 4
bags of toys hardly used and bags of clothes she had grown out of to the
social workers I work with and they were toys she will never miss unless I
had shown her before and then she would have been crying for them all coz
she loves them all soooo much. Don't get me wrong, it is great
to see the look on my daughters face when she receives these presents, but
ya know....

I know what you mean. A friend was trying to find some high school musical thing for her daughter but had left it too late. My 12 year old son said he had it and would give it to her. He brought it down and it was still wrapped in plastic - a present from last Christmas never opened!

I did pretty good, 9 DVD Alarm box set, Arsenal mug, a ton of golf related stuff, including some personalised golf balls, and putting practice mat (which to be fair, i'm not playing long but my putting is bloody dire), to name a few items. :)

XBox 360, a Dungeons and Dragons "deluxe" edition Players Handbook, and a cooling pad for my laptop - when I heard I was getting a "cooling pad", I thought we were building an extension!
