FYI - my short prose tribute to Grove Social Club DJ ‘Starman’ Cecil Nolan titled “The Grove Social Club” has just been published in my new book:

“FOOTSTEPS - Poetry & Prose 1987-2021”

It is available in Hardback, Paperback & Kindle editions from Amazon stores online, e.g.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B096TTDPW6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_JMNMDJ2N7YJS9NQTRRHV

Grovees / Grovers may also like another piece titled “Teenage Dublin Walkabouts”

Appreciate feedback, further recommendation & referrals!

Thank you & all good wishes,

‘Taylor’https://www.amazon.co.uk/FOOTSTEPS-Poetry-Prose-1987-2021/dp/B096TTDPW6

Dr Patrick aka Taylor.

That's some CV you have and extremely eclectic.

That book sounds really interesting.

Congratulations on its production 👏👏👏
May be going to hell in a bucket but at least I'm enjoying the ride.

Hey nice one Taylor. I will def check that out. A varied and eclectic career so far - to say the least. A good man to have a few pints with whenever that pleasure comes round (and when you're in Ireland!)
I will be purchasing that book, not sure whether online or in_store. Soon. When I have it read I'll let you know somewhere on the site here...
...very best of luck with it...

Thank you very much, RR! 😃
Yes, a good chat over a pint in Harry Byrnes …
I look forward to that - as I missed all the Reunions.
Appreciate your considered feedback, & further recommendation, too!
Book (paperback, hardcover, Kindle) is only available from Amazon:

Taylor - that's great - congrats - would you like us to read out either poem on The Grove Show  - would be happy to do that. Actually you are the second Grover to get published soon - Clare O'Reilly who sent in a playlist and Grove poem is getting her collection published and released later this week.

‘The Grove Social Club’ tribute to Cecil is actually a piece of short prose.
And yes, I would be absolutely delighted if it was read out on your show!!
Please let me know where and when if you decide to do so!!’
All good wishes in the meantime,
‘Taylor’ / Patrick 😃👍

PS 1: Here is a link to the published piece which I posted last year as a blogpost: https://www.patrick-patridge.com/blog/the-grove-social-club

PS 2: And congratulations to Clare, too! ✨ Well done!

Brian,

Just a thought. I was going to pull "Geno" from my playlist - it's really overplayed at this point. I was going to replace it with another tune but - if it suited the crew's timing for putting on the playlist etc - you could substitute it with Patrick's (Taylor's!) prose piece? Just an idea...

Best

Gerry

Taylor - that's great - thank you for the link and well done. I will keep you posted on the date.

Gerry - that's a very kind offer and if you are sure we can certainly do that and read out Taylor's piece. I know I am due to get back to you on the air date, will be very soon.

I'd be delighted Brian - something different in the show, like Clares poetry. Bring it on...!!!

I am not on Facebook, so would it be possible for one of you Grovees / Grovers to post my above post regarding my new book on The Grove Facebook page (with amazon link & .jpeg photo of cover pages)??

Much appreciated if not too much trouble!

All good weekend wishes and let me know what you think of the book if you read it!
